Borgholm Castle, ”the most beautiful castle ruin of Scandinavia”, ranks among those buildings that leave no visitor untouched. The size of the castle is overwhelming and its geographical setting fascinating. Rarely do nature and architecture form such a unity as here. This unique setting was further accentuated in 1806 when the castle was destroyed by a fire, and the bare limestone walls were all that was left of the its former glory.

Due to the corona pandemic, all our children activities and guided tours are canceled until further notice, but you are welcome to visit Borgholm Castle this summer!

Källa Old Church is located along the road to Källahamn. For some time, Källahamn was one of the most important harbours on North-East Öland. The area around the church is called Vi alvar, and has many Iron Age remains.
